RIP '06 pista concept. on a big group ride in LA i glanced down at my mileage. when i looked up some kid was pretty much stopped in front of me with a flat. two other people crashed because of it, i rear ended him going around 18. =(

Don't let something distract you while riding in a pack. Be glad you only destroyed your frame- that is much cheaper than landing on your face like I did. And you might consider a front brake next time too.

Dude. Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Do you have a bike to ride now? Last weekend I rescued an old road bike with horizontal dropouts from a dumpster. I'm thinking that I might make a summer project of it but I'm happy to give it to you. It definitely needs a lot of work to be road-worthy again. Let me know.

Or did the trash man take it out and gift box it for you?

re: front brake..

i had zero time to react. i barely had enough time to say "OH SHI-"

i'm on the lookout for a new aluminum frame, probably the same thing but new. lay away, perhaps. i'm not a baller like all the roadies around here!

HI,

Sorry to see all the damage. I've got the same frame but I ride it on the track. Good luck with your replacement search.

Rats... beat me to it.

Ah heck it's only a bike and it's cheaper than dental work...
