Mountain Biking - Pink...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I've always been of the assumption that pink is for baby-girl nurserys and little stuffed fuzzy bunnies.

I believe the first 7 pic's show alot of diversity, but I think the last 3 show the true side of pink.

This could go soooooo many wrong directions.
Yah...I'm always teetering on the edge of what's socially acceptable.
Mind you...I'm not here to bash pink, I just never saw so many "men in pink" until I started riding MTB's. What's that saying? (I truly don't know)
Pink is just another color in my box of crayons.
Some people have a thing for blue, some people have a thing for green and some people have a thing for pink.
I don't think it implies anything.
Unless you are a roadie. Then it implies that you are extra 'effete'
There are two sides to this I think: 1) You have to have a thick hide and cajones of stainless steel to rock a pink bike (especially a gravity sled); or 2) You are a foo-foo roadie boy.
I don't think it implies anything.
I don't think it does either...it just sorta clashes with what I thought was somewhat of a typical idea.

Umm...+1

Pink was quite popular in bmx back in the mid eighties. Its nothing new.

If I ever come across a bunch of money, I really want to build up an Imperial with something like a Totem. Something so strong it cannot be broken by human (I didnt say hackman).
Ahhhh pink - - shades of Pete Fagerlin and the Happy Fun Racing (http://www.smalltracker.com/happyfunracing) guys' trip to Whistler . . .

You can wear pink if you're dropping the GLC in XC gear.

Men who are secure enough with their male side are secure enough to wear pink. ;)

Unless you are a roadie. Then it implies that you are extra 'effete'I thought that in the case of roadies, that was true regardless of bike color. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/deraltekluge/Avatars/whistling.gif

Ive always thought Hot Pink was a Awesome color. For us older guys and gals in here, remember the old Mopar Muscle cars that where factory painted that way in the late 60's early 70's. My dream car was a hot pink 1970 Hemi Cuda

Ahhhhh...yes. Panther Pink, Sublime Green, Plum Crazy Purple, and poopoobrowngold.
They were bold when everyone else played it safe. I love Mopar!

Don't forget bumble bee stripes, shaker hood scoops and big Daytona wings :)

Not to mention their sleeper cars. Darts with 440 plants that look just like the slant 6 version.
I can't tell you how many times my old GTO got it's arse handed to it, by a rusted out ole Mopar.
My Brother in law had one of the Daytona wings, but his was a lemon!
Hey man...even a lemon is worth tens-of-thousands now.
I had a '71 RoadRunner 440 pistol grip 4-spd / 3.91 posi
It was fun for an 18 y.o.
. . . 3.91 posi . . . .Ahem . . . Sure-Grip.
