I have a friend who wants to sell his bike so he came to me. It's a late 80's Falcon. Frame is made of Reynolds 753 tubing, and it has a Campy Record group. I'm familiar with the prices of Campy Record but is he better off parting this out or is there any value in it as a complete bike? Another option would be to part out the Campy and replace with period correct Shimano (I've got a bunch) and sell a complete, less valuable bike and the Campy. Thanks for your opinions.

Ok, finally got to tear into this thing yesterday. First, it's 653, blew it there. Second, he kept telling me it was Campy Record and he bought it in 89. Didn't make sense but now I see it's C-Record, I think. Checked ebay but couldn't find these brakes. Got the aero seatpost too.
Frame is in great shape, pictures make it look worse than it is.

Thanks. He's got brakes and levers, FD, RD, DT shifters (that seem to click like they're indexed), crankset, aero seatpost, and wheelset. Any ideas what this might ebay for?
