General Cycling Discussion - Will View Point Mirrors work on sunglasses with prescription lenses.?

Today I picked up my new Sunglasses...They come with prescription lense inserts... When I picked them up, I discovered my old mirror, which clapsed over my old Sunglasses temples, will not fit over my new glasses temples, because the temples are not flat..
I really feel more comfortable with a mirror and I do not like the wobbliness of mirrors that attach to helmets.
The salesperson had one idea...A "View Point" mirror.You stick them on the inside of glasses and the mirror pivots so you can see in a given direction. He said cyclists buy these View Point Mirrors with prescription inserts. (So you stick them on the presription insert - so you get the benefit of the prescriptions ?)
The View Point Mirrors were out of stock so I did not get to actually purchase them and get to try them out.... Plus I have to take my new glasses to my Optometrist to be filled.
Anyone use these stick on mirrors mounted within your sunglasses..Like the idea, if they work..Very small mirror. Does it give you the big picture..?
Hope they work when they are available...I do not like the idea of sticking a mirror on my handlebar.

In case anyone is intereted...I purchased a pair of View Point mirrors...They are a little annoying in finding the correct mounting position within your lenses for an optimum rear view. But once you find it, they work pretty well...Guess, with such a small size mirror, you get a pretty good view.
What I like about helmet mounted mirrors, the ability to move your head and see different angles... Guess, i prefer the mirrors that attach to the temples of your sunglasses, but with my new sunglasses, I do not have that option.
Anyone one else use these Viewpoints..? Do you like them?
My vision is just good enough (distance) that I can see reasonably well behind me, without looking through my prescription lenses.

I understand...I toyed around with it for must have been a half hour; before I was happy with its position.....Get a better sense of it, the more miles I get in. Initially, seemed to work..
You change positions so many times, you certainly do need the extra adhesive they supply you with before you think it right.

You must have young eyes. I tried that one and was unable to get it to work.

I now use the Take-a-Look mirror by the Bike Peddler. It has a wire frame that is very durable, and a good sized flat mirror that provides an excellent view. Here are some reviews of this mirror: http://www.mtbreview.com/reviews/Extras/product_86204.shtml

SSP. I have been using Take A Look Mirrors..Liked them.. But my new Rudy's temples have ridges.. Just no way the wire frame can grip about the shape of these temples.
Unless I give in and put a mirror on my handlebar, I have to make these work.

Don't know if you've seen this... I got a "heads up" my wife... they attach well to her sunglasses. The stem is longer than other mirrors, and the frame attachment accomodates thicker frames well. OTOH, it won't work on my glasses because the wire frames are too thin.

Roadbuzz...I will look for thsoe "Heads up' mirrors...The Rydon's..The ridge is really more pyramid shaped...Not much for the clasp to hold onto...

Not sure I understand, but could you somehow attach the mirror from the underside of the temple, rather than the top?

Roadbuzz...What I mean the shape of the temples are not flat, but come to a narrow point. Causes the Take a Look mirror, to unfortunately be unstable.
Must find a solution...Mirrors add to my confidence. I have drop handlebars on all my bikes..Not convenient for a handlebar mirror...
I like stability of mirrors attached to glassses.
