Says it all. I don't ride a lot or race. I'm looking for a quality fork at a low price. Something good for road, trail, XC. Use to ride some nice singletrack in Hawaii but had a lot of roots. Two I looked at were the Dart 3 and Tora 302 so far. I have no problem dropping 300+ on a good fork, just no budget for it.

Thanks,
Chris

Tora over the Dart by a long shot.

I also like the Tora, but I would look for one of the air models, like the Tora 318 Solo Air. I run Tora 318 Solo Air forks on two of my 29ers and I've been satisfied with their performance. The Tora is a bit heavy because of the steel stanchions, but, IMHO, the Tora gives good value for the money.

I've never been impressed with the Dart. I suppose Rockshox has to make some, to hit a pricepoint, but I personally would try really hard to reach for a Tora.

I would suggest Tora.
