Never seen one of those before. how old is it/how much it set you back?

I think it's 1976, serial # is 76G50187. See this: http://www.bikeforums.net/archive/index.php/t-342711.html
I paid $350 for the whole bike, it was broken down for shipping.

lookin like a solid build, love the bars
lookin' good john...very nice find. how'd you pick that off the local CL before i did?!
rear caliper, no lever?

I got it off of norfolk, va. craigslist, via lurking on the CR list.
It came w/ a rear clamp on keirin brake (frame is not drilled front or rear), so I'm running that for now. I have a cool duel lever for it:
but I need to find the right shim to fit it.

update: ditched the weinmann deep vees, and built up the o/g hubs w/ some mavic open pros:
front, dura ace track:
rear, suntour superbe pro:
vintage cutout cog, make unknown:
how should I treat the rust patches?
suntour superbe seatpost:
shiney pearl90 stem w/ nitto bullhorns:
I went w/ the bullhorns over the track bars for commuting, I like'em better.

I think some classic italian road drops would look perfect
I still love the bike regardless. Those deeps didn't look all that bad either
what kind of building is in the first pic set?
04-16-09, 07:14 PM
The first pics were taken at my house, the latter pics at the office building where I work.
They are 10 miles apart, guess how I got from one to the other?
If you are refering to the bike build, the differences are:
!st pics-new cheap chinese weinmann wheels
cheap nitto stem w/ nice nitto drops
rear kierin brake
2nd pics - nice vintage hubs, new mavic rims and dt spokes
pearl nitto stem w/ nitto bullhorns
front kierin brake
Other stuff is the same for both.
