i am trying to run some 1-1/4 x27 wheels on my 87 nishiki sport but the fender clearance is crappy. does anybody know how this bike was set up originally ?? any good suggestions on what kind of fenders work well on this year of nishiki sport??

The answer is to take the Panaracers off it, or at least bump them down to 1-1/8 width. (If you're not running Panaracer tires, forgive me... but they tend to run taller than other tires.)
