well i wont try to explain too much in detail since the article does that. But idk how many people have heard about these new lead testing laws in which bmx bikes have gotten caught up in. they mainly target stuff kids would 'eat' among kids toys. I found out about this because ive been waiting for a 09 complete (khe) to be available and its been pushed back several times for this reason.

Either way, pretty interesting article about new laws that affect our manufacturers and us directly so i though id post it up.

"Because the Congress, in their infinite wisdom, labeled BMX bikes as "toys" our niche bicycle industry is going to suffer through imposed testing laws. The consumer will suffer by the passed along added costs of these tests." -Charlie, Profile Racing

I just want to know, how many people have seen a little kid go up to a bike and put it in their mouth?

This is bull****. Now we're going to have cops messing with us even more because
"we're riding a kids bike"
I guarantee a "KID" CANNOT RIDE MY BIKE one tried already .... couldn't ride it. my BMX is too big for a kid.

I take it that you never had that experience of our fine public servants harassing us because its a 20 inch.

Happens to me and my friends all the time....And thats while we're just cruising around not harming anything.
