Those who went on the Dead End ride saw me with my little tiny GoPro Hero (http://www.goprocamera.com/) camera.

I actually captured a lot more video from that ride than I've posted including this blazing descent of Highway 84 at the end. By this time in the ride there were only four of us left - Donald, Marco, my brother Aaron, and me. I was going to put it to music and make a real nice production out of it but it's now been two weeks and that hasn't happened. So here is the unedited video with no sound.

The day after that ride I went snowboarding near Tahoe and brought the camera with me. I actually *did* take the time to edit this one and it's a compilation of lots of different clips. I got creative with how to mount the camera to my body so there are a few different perspectives to keep things interesting :)

WOW!! Is that Ramon crashing in the Bear Gulch video?
That's a tumble... I hope he is all fine as well as his bike.

Yeah, that was Ramon. He brushed it off, and even did Montebello, Redwood Gulch the following day. That's tough for me, even with a bunch of healthy limbs! http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=499740

Sweet videos Ben. :thumb:

I almost ate it today, on 84, because of a combination of wet roads, slick tires and those small black road patches. My rear wheel broke loose when rounding a turn (~1:07 in your video methinks) and the bike got real squirrelly and at that point I started heading for the trees (!).

It was one of those moments that happened in slow motion, and luckily I didn't try to over-correct, and the bike took care of itself and straightened out. Needless to say I took it slow the rest of the way down. :p

Glad to hear you kept from crashing! Were you on the new bike? It was definitely slick. I met up with Ramon and Marco and we were spinning our back wheels going over those tar strips on the way up Summit Springs. What time were you out there? We went up Kings and then came down 84 probably around 3:30.

Yup, it was with my new bike. I would not have been a happy boy if I didn't save it. :D

I was heading down 84, around 11:30 today, so I missed you guys by quite a bit.
