Hey All,

I bought a frame, unfortunately the frame did not come with the original fork. The previous owner said the fork had hairline fracture at the steerer-tube, so he throw it out. I have asked the previous owner and he had no clue about rake.

At this moment I am trying to work out the rake of this fork, so I can start restoring the frame to original looks/geometry. Hoping someone can help me...here is the photo:

I know this might be a very hard job.

Just an idea:

Get flat block of something like aluminum, or wood, or even a book that seems to be flat, that is 1-1.5" thick. Put that on another flat surface, like a flat table. Lay and hold the steerer tube on the first flat part so the the crown and blades are sticking off, suspended above the table, dropouts up. Try to make sure its level and measure from the table to the dropout. Then subtract half the diamiter of the steerer tube and the block thickness.

That should work... right?

Do you mean that the fork in the photo is the original, which is no longer available to you, and you want to replicate the rake shown in the photo?
