I have the opportunity to pick this vintage Hercules up for $25. Looks like it's in pretty decent shape. Any idea of what year this bike may be? Anybody have one that's similar?
Thanks!

I've got her mate, a 1960 model. I think that one may be a little older.

They do look related...I think I'm going to pick it up and see if my wife might be interested in it. She does like the look of these vintage bikes.....:)

May be a date code on the rear hub.

I thought I would mention that those English bikes with the curved top and down tubes are children's bikes. They were too small to use straight tubes. Probably 17" frames on them, maybe 19" on the boys.
The curve in the top tube is there to mate with the short seat tube. That looks better in my opinion than the slanted top tube on mountain bikes. The curve in the down tube is there to clear the wheel with the short wheelbase.
