Today's 40 miles was a little wet but not so bad. I was shocked that Gina agreed to go. She usually stays at home when it's wet. I prepped her 84 Bianchi, her rain bike for the ride. I took my mtb but it let me down. Lots of debris on the road at the start. Later dicovered the rear tire was half flat. That aint supposed to happen with knobbies is it? Oh well! It poured the first couple of miles then cleared up. Must have seen us coming! One friend headed inland first. He got the worst of it!

Everytime Gina rides her steel Bianchi she comments on how smooth the sucker rides. I'm thinking I should have bought the carbon roadie for myself and left her with the steelie! After the ride my chest felt so nice and clear. That fresh air sure feels good!:D

Did luck out, the bikes didn't get too dirty!;)

Gina's 84, I don't wanna get it dirty and it aint even my bike!

As long as you dont get completely soaked, riding in the rain can be fun.

Nice Bianchi. :D

A coworker of Gina's sold it to us cause he knew we rode. He wanted $40!....Well it was purty dirty and needed work. I replaced all the gears, shiftlevers and rims. Few hundred bucks held he over for 7 or 8 years. I was really sad when I found out it wasn't my size, but heck, Gina enjoyed and still enjoys it!

I gave him the $80 I had in my pocket cause it was a Bianchi. He sold it to raise money for a dept store mtb. Wow!:p

Dude, were you born with a silver spoon up your butt? $80? I can't seem to find a decent steel frame bike for a decent price anywhere these days. And even if the guy is your friend, you need to slap him for selling that bike and buying an xmart mtb!!

I did! After I fixed it up and polished her, I took it back so that he could see the jewel he let go. Then I slapped him around a bit!:D

Looks like an Italian made Bianchi. Nice. You should get Gina to polish it up real good and post some close-up pics of it on 'C&V'.

Ok. I feel better then! Man, I know you don't need me to tell you you got quite a deal. Congrats. Too bad it's a little small for you, but Gina looks better on it anyway!

looks like a fun ride. I like Gina's bike too. Love those old school bikes.
