Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm restoring my Miyata 912 and would like to replace the decals. After doing a bit of google'ing it looks like the best approach is to photograph and measure the original decals and have new ones made at a decal shop. Anyone out there have experience doing this?

Cyclart (http://www.cyclart.com/) is an excellent source for reproduction decals.

Their policy is not to sell decals. They provide decals for bikes they paint and they charge $75-$100. They do have some Kestral decal sets on ebay, however.
Contact BF member Jrrestore for reproduction and custom decals. He does excellent work and his prices are reasonable.

Thanks for the clarification. I was told they sell decals but reading their web site more closely it appears they only provide them as part of a repair/repaint job.
