I'm bracing for the inevitable depression that's going to hit me after LBL. The best part of the season cut short by summer. I have to wait 'till August to get it back. :(

That's me sobbing in my beer, toasting Mirko, sobbing some more, toasting Rebellin, sobbing some more.

I'm depressed.
As much as I enjoy the Grand Tours, especially the Vuelta for the scenery, this Armstrong phenomena has brought the psuedo fans out of the closet and makes racing discussion the equivalent of tourist season for the locals, a nuisance. Their caucaphony is deafening. The classics have been a safe haven from the freds. I think I'll retreat to my favorite cafe with Cela.
PS: I really like the Tre-bellin headlines.

I watched (and taped) most of the classic races this spring for the first time and I've gotta ask ... was this a typical season? Reason being, beside for the PR and watching Rebellin spank "the white toothed wonder" for a second time at LBL, I kinda thought the action was a bit dull. Regardless, it's fodder for the winter training blues next year.
I'll be interested to see how well guys like Rebellin and Vino carry their early success into the tours. Everything else should be gravy for these guys despite the fact that Vino is considered a TdF contender.
