ok if no one says anything, then im going out to buy this fork.
i heard its an amazing fork for its price for light riders like me.
i weighed myself yesterday and i almost hit 123 :-P.

Anyways i decided to get the RockShox Pilot XC. I will be mainly doing XC, with the ocasional freeriding, (no drops over 5 feet, and no jumps that wud send me in the air 3-4 feet). Keep in mind that if your a 200 pound rider, and you tell me its not stiff at all or something like that, remember im 75 pounds lighter then you. im probably the skinniest mountain biker over the age of 10 youve ever seen. (im turning 15 soon, wish me a happy birthday! lol).

i plan on buying the fork tommorow (at my lbs which i have 10% off to), then im gunna install it myself and save myself $10, and yes i have installed a fork before. Then the day after i get it the doctor says i should be good for riding, and ill be out on the trails.

if you have any info about this fork that i should know, like it leaks dangerous fumes and could shrivel my lungs causing me to die a slow and painfully death, please tell me.

Thx.

Go for it, just remember, many of us recommended you go with a DJII or III. Why? Because we remember when WE were 15 and the "reckless abandon" we rode with. Not to mention the total disregard we had for life and limb. Case in point.....How's that wrist healing?

You ARE going to jump. You know that, we know that. The Pilot will work, but you're going to post in another 3 months how you've damaged your Pilot fork because it didn't hold up to some small jumps or some other JRA (just riding along) story.

If you want the Pilot, get it. Just remember, you've been warned. That and we won't hold back with the "I told you so".

If your already shelling out the moeny for the new fork, why not spend an extra 50-100 for that fork that is much superior. The DJ 3 will definetly be good but why not look into getting an EXR if you don't have that much cash to spend?

30mm stanctions opposed to the 28.6 on the Pilot. A dampening system (SSV)that feels a lot better in my opinion then the Pilot which has H20.

If your gonna be going off jumps, the pilot might not be the right choice. The lower are based on the Sid which is one of the lightest XC forks and I can't really trust a SID after my experiences with it.

Think long and hard before deciding.

good choice, and now when you decide that the little jumps aren't enough you can go to something bigger without having to look into a new fork.

Right after I pay for the new Specialized Enduro SX frame I just bought!

Seriously, you'll be very happy with that fork. Although, I didn't mean to scare you, just to assist and inform.

You realize that you are REQUIRED to post pictures of any new parts for your bike.
