I have cheek bones again. The change has been slow going, but I finally have cheek bones. I still have my chubby cheeks but now they start lower and there is a definite pronounced depression under the point of the bones.

What's more I noticed today that one of my "new" pairs of pants that I bought to actually fit are starting to double over along the the beltline.

I'm f'n starving too. Where's the doughnuts?

Just kidding, glad to hear it and that means you will be much faster this summer without all that extra wind resistance and all.

I just bought pants with a 2" skinnier waist than what I've been wearing. I haven't lost much weight but I think all the exercise is slimming my waist while building muscle in my legs. Or something.

I wish I were in your shoes. I was sick the entire month of December...and I mean the ENTIRE month and did nothing but eat and get fat. Put on almost 11 pounds that went straight to my gut. I now see it staring up at me every time I go to the john. Its starting to come off...slowly. By Spring I hope to be posting about how I can see my...uhhhh...toes....again

I bought a pair of 30x32 pants the other day. I used to wear "husky" pants when I was a kid, and I've been stuck at 32x32 for a few years now.

I bought a pair of 30x32 pants the other day. I used to wear "husky" pants when I was a kid, and I've been stuck at 32x32 for a few years now.

I remember when I 'porked up' to 30x29 when I hit high school. Left HS wearing 32x30's. Slowly went up over the years. Topped out in 38x30's. The "skinny" pants I am now shrinking out of are 33x29's.

I am wearing a pair of 32's right now that I bought a while back because they have an exandable waist so I figured they would give with my seasonal shift in weight - but quickly stopped wearing because they only really fit for a few weeks during mid season. They fit fine now and are also starting to double over.

The smaller belt I bought sometime in August is now at it's last hole in.

Here's the kicker. I am at 173 this morning - about the same weight that I have been for a long time now (6 months or so) but things are fitting different leading me to believe that the weight lifting I have been doing has changed my composition at least....my stretch goal is 155-159 by the end of next season.

If I can hit that and not lose too much power then I will be going from 3.3 w/kg to 3.7. If I can increase my power by 8% at the same time (a reasonable goal) then I can cross 4w/kg. I would be happy with that for sure.

My 40x34's are loose, maybe its time to move down! c-mon spring! Whats better, rollers or a trainer this time of year? I know the obvious answer, but 14" of white h*** make it tough.

Depends what your trying to achieve. You can elevate your heart rate to burn fat on either so thats a wash. The trainer is a better choice to work on power and do intervals while the rollers are better to work on form. I typically ride the rollers one day for every 4 or 5 on the trainer.

Ahhh...as a child our chinese ahma(sp) (maid) used to make chiken cashew for us 1 night a week. It was while living in Taiwan so she would buy the indegredients that morning on her way in (pointing to the chicken to be slaughtered and plucked for her, etc) so it was always supremely fresh.

...I have never eaten better in my entire life, and I will never forget the taste. Still my favorite dish in the entire world yet I can not bring myself to eat it anymore because it aways sucks now due to the quality of ingredients and the quality of the chef. :(

...BTW - which cheeks?:o:eek:

I will be trying rollers sometime soon. I figure that I have avoided them for close to 20 years...it's about time to try. I am borrowing a set from a teammate. He's thinking baout having me sign a release.

Congrats - I have been going the other way...about 10lb since August. Business trips are a killer for working out and the nice dinners don't help. I'm actually down 4lb from my peak but still 10lb over Aug.
