Isn't it supposed to rain on Sunday?
Damn Pete, I'm way behind now. I'm at 3 1/2 bicycles and now you have yet another frame to build up.

Well I got it ride able, all I need is a brake cable and handle bar tape.
It's set up with city tires/wheels
Fixed gear!
pedal/toe straps
One brake
Short bull horns
Much lighter than my other Centurion
I'll see you on Sunday!
The bike is a little rough around the edges (needs touchup paint and I replaced the fork with a chrome fork which I had to hack saw!!!! scary first time, but it worked. Kind of tough looking city bike now.

That looks a little like a Taxi bike. :)

Planning to do some peninsula riding tomorrow, though, rain or shine (I hear these fancy-ass bikes made of aluminium and plastic don't rust in the rain!). We'll see.

Just need a few stripes of black and white checkered tape, and you're set.

Sure...Unfortunately I don't have Bossman's skill, but I'll make a try at it!:thumb:
Heck, even Bossman doesn't have Bossman's skill. When it comes to wrenchng, he's actually a heartless Phillistine. I know - I watched him take a Dremel with a cutting disk to a 35+ year old chrome Paramount.
Okay, it was to remove an old, hopelessly rusted brake cable clip, but still . . . .

Heh - it actually pretty easy to do, when it's not your bike. :)

Oh that's hot. Nice job!
I need to get off my ass and find a good old bike I can spruce up and make myself a fixed gear to commute around school with.

You're bike is prettier, Pete. :)
Did you touch up the paint chips that were on the seat stays? You did, didn't you?? Plus the outline on the lugs is gone. That frame looks so new!

Cathy mixed the paint and we might put the outline back on the lugs. The bike is a great ride Siu! I've had fun with it...it has some personality.

That's great, Pete. It was meant to be. I'm glad that you are happy with it.
I'd like to get an old steel bike and some have provided links but it's a want not a need. And with the times as they are....
