Hi,

I bought a brand new front hydraulic disc brake off ebay (shimano BR-M525) but the hose isn't long enough...do I need to buy new hose, cut it, take off the old hose and rebleed the brake? I've never done any of that stuff before... I just assumed they would provide adequate hose which was not too bright I guess.

I hope that you got the directions with your brake. Besides all of the things that you have mentioned (which you will indeed have to do), the mounting of the caliper on the frame or fork is also critical.

Yea, I have the directions. As I said, this thing is brand new. I didn't forget about the caliper, it just seems easy to mount. Thanks for the reply.
