Gday i went to a garage sale on the weekend and picked up some old bike parts.Leftovers from a 50+ years bicycle buisness one of the item i picked up was a brand new shimano 3 speed twist shifter it has low,neutral and high and grip is white anyone got any ideas on value

Wouldn't low, neutral and high be two speeds?

Is that a left hand grip shift for a 7 speed Shimano grip shift set up? Can't explain L, N, H though.

I am guessing L, N and H are for Low, Normal and High...
Twist shifters for 3 speeds come up on Ebay pretty often, and a new old stock one just expired on Ebay for $4.99 with shipping of $5.50 with no bids...
Other people have similar ones listed all the time for over $16.00 or more and I assume they must sell them at least occasionally to keep listing them at those prices.
So, it depends on whether you happen to run into someone who wants it.

Hey - if you are still interested... I got one of a Healing cruiser last week, the whole bike cost me $20, which is what a guy was asking for a set six months ago, both of included the matching left hand grip too.. given that these are both used condition, I'd say for a mint set you could maybe get double that - the big thing is getting the cable which fits it, the nobbly bit on the end is horizontal fix rather than vertical, or should I say the centre of the round face is perpindicular to the cable rather than in line, if you can visualise that... the guy at Cycology in Hamilton today was trying to sell me a 'new school' cable and reckoned give it a try. I explaned that there was no way it would work, any half practical mind could tell just by looking - but then again he didn't know the difference between ISO 406 and 451 for tyre sizing either.
Sooo... the best bet is an old local mowers and cycles type place, possibly maybe even some type of automotive cable will fit the bill, hard to say with shimano, if it was brittish there would be a standard part off a morris minor that would work!
So, to sumarise - a mint set lf RH LH and cable I'd happily pay $50 cos it's a no brainer for the consumer. Oh, and HNL is Hard, Nice, or Lazy - used to have it on a healing loline back in the early 80's when we were knee high fullas : )
