I bought a Lanster 2 weeks ago and 1 week ago I put on a cog so it is now a fixed gear.
I have bullhorn and I am going to chuck the rear brake. My question is; which side do I put the brake lever on? On my geared bikes it is on the left for the front brake but when looking at the various photo galleries I see a number of people put a single brake lever on the right.
Thanks

I chose the right hand to be the brake control on my fixed gear. Also, when I did a bar swap on my geared bike, the right hand got the front brake. For all the reasons and debate as to why, see the "Which Brake Which Side" portion of this page at Sheldon Brown's site: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/brakturn.html
Good luck,

Last time I had a brake on bullhorns it was on the right side - but I think that was mainly because my brother had bought a set of levers that sit in the ends of the bullhorns and was using the left one. There were a couple times that I tried to panic stop with a brake that wasn't there for the first couple of days, though...
It really doesn't matter what side you put it on, though.
Now that you're fixed, you probably won't be touching the brake much anyways.
