Im considering painting my frame in either A bass boat sparkle or chameleon, but havent seen any other frames with such paint jobs to compare. Color doesnt matter since I havent decided on the color yet.Although all my parts are black so far if that helps any.

The Pake comes in a bass boat sparkle green & sparkle gold.

With black components I would stick with warmer, earth-tone colors. Black with greens & blues looks off in my eyes usually. Gold, browns, or gunmetal grey would look pretty sick, but what do I know?

or this

http://www.paintwithpearl.com/Pearls/userspics/regalred.JPG (http://www.paintwithpearl.com/flakestore.htm)
http://www.paintwithpearl.com/flakes/cars/small64nova_fire_red.jpg

I have all the equipment to spray it at my job,so that wont be a problem. This is where Ill get the metal flake to mix with the clear(it goes over a black base coat)......

Im leaning more to the red.

Take a look at almost any NJS frame. They all have a two-tone fade, or sparkle finish.

If you want a finish like those, you will want to paint over a metallic base coat, not black.

Also, you will need a special tip for the spray gun.

No silly, lures attract bass. Sparkly bass boats attract bass boat fisherman (buyers).

I guess now the size of your sparkle will be the new guage eh

Waterford is quite fond of this paint style...as exemplified by my former employer's bike. As far as I know, Richard Schwinn, the barrel chested man behind Waterford, is an outdoorsman and loves outfitting bikes in gaudy paint schemes. The brilliance in this particular paint is achieved by glass flakes, not metallic flakes, so it retains a translucence in low light and a nearly blinding refraction and almost holographic effect in high light.

What is the covering on those saddles? It doesn't look too breathable and would make for a real sweaty arse.

wrong.

traditionally that style of paint job is done over a flat base coat...color flake on black looks really cool

that's what the green buggy appears to be

the red car looks like red flake on a dark burgundy color or something

you put the large flake in a clear carrier and spray away...then after each layer you cut it down flat by wet sanding....3 layers flake, 3 layers clear will get you desired results
