Hi all,
I did a quick search and came up dry...
I know there are some crit races in Lachine in the summer but wanted to know where else there are local road races or crits in or around Montreal?

Ask around at some of the bike shops like ABC or Martin Swiss. I'm not a racer so I'm not up to speed on race info.

First of all, your age. If you are over 30 year of age, I suggest that you ride as a master. The Lachine races are not for someone who is new to road racing, they are very fast, and very aggressive. There are weekly races for masters racers held in Laval that might be a better fit for you. IOf you do well there, you can also race in Lachine as well. It is possible to race up to 3 times per week in the summer from the schedule on the FQSC website

Yep, 34 years old in 2 weeks...I'm getting old but have a hard time admitting it. Thanks for th tip about the Lachine races; I'll try the ones in Laval first, as a master.

I can 2nd alcjphil's opinion on the speed and aggressive nature of the Mardis Lachine crits. Raced them during the eighties and they were very fast then, some of the fastest crits in North America. And even faster now!

For practice, I heard there are Tues or Wed evening crit-style races in the area of Mercier (South Shore).
