Due to endless snow storms and being busy at work I've been limited to 1-2 rides per week for a few weeks. My aerobic fitness is definitely worse than it was before Xmas and longer rides aren't really in the picture right now. However, since I push really hard on my occasional rides to get the most out of them I have put on a good bit of leg muscle with all the recovery time. I've also dropped 2 lbs so far this month. The inner quad in particular seems to be worked hard by the recumbent position. My hill climbing speeds are improving too.

With luck the tail end of February will be less snowy and I can start getting in mileage to prepare for my commute, which I want to start biking in March. 12.5 miles each way, that should burn a few calories!

A 25 mile a day commute should be just the ticket. By the end of summer you should be doing great. Thanks for the update!
