Foo - Can concrete damage cats?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I think concrete can damage most things if it's dropped from high enough. :twitchy:

Depends on what you do with the cat and the concrete.:twitchy:

Was it ER or Grey's Anatomy where they had they ep of the guy that was encased in concrete whom they were trying to save from dying?

Ok, I just tested it. 10 pound slab dropped from 6 feet up onto a 7 pound cat. Allen, since you brought this up, will you help clean up the mess?
The more pressing question is whether cats can damage concrete.
Once they can, humanity's reign over this planet will soon come to an end.

I'm really more worried about someone genetically modifying cats so they have opposable thumbs, which will completely screw all of us.

They are well on their way, my friend.

It's over then.
#4 had scratched the cover off of a bag of QuickcreteŽ and was using it as a litter box.

I don't know... we have a little #14 stray terrier mix that my GF found on the way home from work one night, and being soft in the head and hearted, brought home. This sucker chews EVERYTHING (he's only about a year old). I came home tonight and he'd dragged a pair of her shoes out of the closet and completely chewed the straps off of them.
Cat barf here and there and a cat turd now and then is NOTHING.

If you mean by going "Bulleting" in SF in a lowered car, I think the answer is a big yes.

You KNOW they'll turn out to be little pyromaniacs if they get thumbs. Mine already are, and that's without the ability to operate matches. (No candles in my house after the second cat ignited himself for the second time... so much for my "nice, relaxing bath with aromatherapy candles"... luckily he immediately fell into the tub and doused himself, but the bath came to an abrupt, decidedly UNrelaxing, and yowly end... :twitchy:
Cats with opposable thumbs and the ability to grasp objects intelligently is a very scary thought.

What type of concrete?
Ask these folks if they'll do a cat test:

Yeah... mine would NOT get that second part, trust me. I love them, but they're on the wrong slope of the bell curve...

:roflmao2: Sorry, but that is funny. My master is currently curled up on the bed sleeping. As long as she doesn't decide to play catch and release with live rodents while I am sleeping it's all good.

That was CSI, actually. I know this because my wife is a CSI fanatic.
Did he eat it? Walk in it?
Had a friend's father, a mason, who was a burly type and didn't wear kneepads or anything and he got concrete poisoning - which is rather like a chemical burn, but I guess it got more into his skin and he had some long term health issues.

We are talking cat as in "meow" not cat as in "-alytic converter". You are such a guy. Geeze.

umm...yes, concrete shoes can be damaging to a cat, just like they are to NY mobsters.
