I just bought a Bianchi Castro Valley bike off craigslist and since my last bike was stolen, I want to register this one with the police asap. I'm not really sure where the serial number is located, but I did find a number, VP-A51A, in two different places on the bike. Can anyone point me to the right spot? Thanks!
You didn't mention the two places. My Milano has it stamped on the underside of the bottom bracket.

check the BB first,(bottom of the bike) if not there then try the rear dropout (where the rear wheel goes into the frame), or the head tube (where the fork & handlebars goes ). Sometime on the BB the cable guide may be hiding the numbers .

Sorry about that. The number I found was on the headset. However, I looked over the BB again and found it stamped there. Thanks!
