Why not register under your own name?
I'll try to help, but you didn't provide any specifics. Bike? Fork? Threadless? Threaded? Type Brake? ...etc.
Here's a guess:
1. Remove top cap off of stem.
2. Loosen pinch bolts on stem and remove stem.
3. Use a rubber mallet and smack the steerer tube out of the frame.
4. Remove headset bearing and note orientation (how they go in).
5. Use a large screwdriver and pry off the bottom bearing race pressed onto the steerer tube at the top of the fork crown.
6. Measure the length of your steerer tube.
7. Cut the new steerer tube to the same length or, close. Better to have it longer and use an extra spacer than too short.
8. Measure again, Cut once!
9. Using a 1-1/4 PVC or Brass Pipe. Smack the bottom bearing race onto the new steerer tube. I use a piece of PVC pipe that's longer than the steerer tube and try to hammer the race on evenly until it's tight against the crown.
10. Reassemble
or
Take it to you LBS and hand them $20
Brakes....not enough info provided to help.

Ok I gotta be bluntly honest with you here... this isn't a slam against you, but given that your post indicates your level of knowledge about bikes to be approx. 0, these are not jobs you should be doing for some serious safety concerns. If either the fork or brake is installed incorrectly you are putting yourself at serious risk. Pay the $20 or whatever and have a shop install it and get it done right.

just look in the mechanics section of the forums. read the manuals before trying anything out. i would not touch my fork without the proper knowledge and tools. doing so would be asking for TROUBLE>
