I've spent 10 days with my Mom. I'd planned to visit other people, friends and family. But I stayed here. I told everybody that it was because of my recent surgery, that I wanted to avoid unnecessary trips... But the truth is I don't think she is gonna last a lot more.

She looks happy, calm and very tired.

Somehow I feel "prepared". It is a strange feeling... nothing like I've ever felt before. I can't even describe it.

I'm going through this now too Ruben. Planning a trip to see my mom, and not sure there will be another one. Good to hear you are experiencing this with serene composure.

I remember the whole family felt that way with my grandfather for about 2 YEARS before he finally did die.

Unfortunately, my mother died a bit more unexpectedly.
