This may go nowhere but I've been kinda eyeing Pegs for awhile and toying with the idea of making the jump this year (we shall see after the tax man cometh).
There are only a few shops in the area that have Pegs and I was wondering if any can share their experiences with any of them. I'm also kinda hoping for a shop that has knowledgeable fitters. Since it's chunk of change for me I'd like to be sure I get the best fit possible.
Here are the shops listed:
Montano Velo in Oaktown (heard good things bout them)
Pegasus Bicycle Works, Danville (had a slightly sour experience with them once but maybe it was an off day)
VeloTech in Palo Alto
Bike Station, Aptos
Above Category, Mill Valley
And the site also lists Wrench Science in Berkeley but I don't see Pegs on their site. Too bad because when I was looking for my first bike, they were very kind and not snobby.
At this point, I lean towards Montano Velo even though they're in the East Bay and I'm on the Peninsula.
