my usual stance is that celeste is always the answer.

but not with red wheels.

I'd go with some deda foam or cinelli cork red tape actually...

add celeste and you can hang it from a christmas tree :p

Celeste is often a great color, but yeah, I don't think it'll quite work with the red details.

I would prefer red tape, but I want a bar tape that the red matches the rims to a T. So far everything is a bit too on the orange side(including the cinelli).

That is a pretty bright red. You'd probably have to get some kind of metallic red tape (or maybe cloth?) to match it.

Leave as is, get some nice red brake cables to match the tyres :thumb: .

Either red or black.

I have this (http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=A1224)on one of my bikes. It is redder than it looks here. Cleans easily too

Again, as I've said I would want red, but I want a red red, not a bright, orange red.

Black tape is not an option, I don't want a cookie cutter look.

Celeste and Red does go well together.

I made my decision, I'm going to go with the Celeste.

Celeste and Red does go well together. To each their own, of course, but I think the Celeste and red Bianchi models look fairly awful. Harsh and unpleasant.

I might also be giving a hint to my next direction for the color scheme.

Remember though I have changed my mind as I sleep on it.

If you got Celeste rims to go with the tape, then you'd have something. :)

Clashing colors is the new black. I say go with celeste. :D

If it makes you feel any better, i have a bike with a green frame, purple wheels, and pink handlebar tape...

Got another option: Yellow. It would match the lettering on the tires.

I bet Fizik makes some very comfortable, semi-metallic red gel wrap.

Are you kidding! What could look sexier than red and celestine! The bike in question though would look sweet with a red/black combo tape not celestine.

I think if you put a colored tape on there it would take away from the wheels, which are a focal point. If you do put on red tape, Fizik Microtex is what I have on the Moots. It's RED red, not blood red or orange red.

Ok, the moment of truth....

I went with Celeste. Picture isn't doing it justice.

Red or white tape. But the celeste looks OK.

It was for me.

I know there is a fascination with the color for Bianchi owners, but I have never liked it... even though I would love to have a Bianchi.

My lack of attraction to celeste could be that the Goodwill where I used to live as a kid in the late 60's used to rattle can paint all of their bikes with strange hues of red green and blue... the green looked somewhat like Celeste... Not quite the same, but close enough that I flash back to my youth when I see celeste. ;)

I am starting to get over it. It only took 30 or 40 years.

The tape does look fine on your bike.
