Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Can anyone give me more information on these wheels? Are they worth the money? Please let me know your thoughts! http://www.bikeforums.com/ubb/smile.gif CYA
I have been speaking with many shops about these rims and they all agree that they are very good. They have been around for a while and have a proven track record. I don't have any technical info just word of mouth.
My bike shop buddies tell me the spokes break frequently, they are heavy and bad for climbing...However, they sure look good!

I have Rolf Vector wheels--I LOVE them. They are a marked improvement from the last wheelset I was using. I use them primarily on the road--commuting 20 miles each way. They have made a huge difference in my commutes.
First ask yourself whom is telling you good things. It could be a salesmen. If so, does he actually ride these.
I have nothing to say about the wheels as I do not own a pair or ride them.
Take note. When spokes break. Where will you get some? Cost? This is the big question to ask with all new wheels like this. Also ask what kind of warranty they offer and if that actually is true as some companies gice people the run-around with warranties.
Hope this gives you some questions to ask.

PhillyJohn, I have just bought a set of Vector Pro wheels and expect delivery tomorrow. I bought them after recommedation from a friend who has ridden Rolf wheels for a year now, without ever having to even straighten them.
I notice some doubt in the forum here. How many miles have you put onto these wheels?
On my other bike I started using the new Dura Ace wheels and they are designed on a similar concept to Rolf. Although they are still new, they are the nicest wheels I have ridden so far. Before this I have always built my own wheels, but if one studies the Engineering in Rolf and Shimano wheels, I believe some day, all wheels will be built this way.
