I asked at the local bike shop about ordering me a Langster...

They made a call and informed me, "there are no more left"

Anybody know if this is true or not?

Could it be?... I haven't even seen one on the street.

I asked at my LBS and they told me that they were not out yet (this was last week!). With the many I've seen on the FFG and this forum, I find that hard to believe.

I saw two in a shop window this past weekend in Columbus, Ohio. I can find out the name of the shop if you are interested, then you could just order it from them. My friend bought her Langster from this particular shop and was very satisfied with the service and attention that she got.

It wouldn't suprise me if they were out of them really, I don't think that Specialized expected them to be such a big hit. I saw two of them in a race this past weekend in Columbus.

I would appreciate it, hopefully they will have my size and ship it..

Specialized is out of pretty much everything actually, and out of most sizes of Langsters.

Specialized apparently only did one run of Langsters. I know the local specialized rep round here bought two before the shops put them on the floor.

its bikesource in columbus, at least where i bought mine. They have a 58 cm langster sitting in the window right now, saw it today (their High Street location). BUT as you can see from their website here (http://bikesourceonline.com/site/intro.cfm) they do not sell online or over the phone. Good luck in your search.

Yes that is the shop, it is on High St. I could have sworn that they had two in the window though. hhhmmm...

If you know exactly what size you are looking for and don't mind ordering a bike then you might try posting over on the Google groups. A lot of those people over there either own bike shops or run them in some way and they might be better able to help you track down an in stock one somewhere. I would post something in the Marketplace section and the tech section, cross post it.

Good luck with your search, let us know how you make out with the hunt.

It wouldn't surprise me if there were none left. I waited three months for mine and when they came in it took less than six days for my lbs to sell the four that they got in. Hope you find one though, except for the seat they are a darn fine bike. I'm loving mine.

I just got mine today, (from Bicycle Habitat in NYC http://www.bicyclehabitat.com/) I think they can ship it to anywhere in the U.S. so try them out. The price is $440 (msrp) and they said they had 3 left (2 now since I bought one). Gotham Bikes also has some (http://www.gothambikes.com/) and they might ship.

It's awesome but I agree the seat needs to be upgraded, mine squeaks like a mo'fo.

Just picked one up on Saturday. Lucky me. LBS claims it was the last in existence. I emailed Specialized about future availability and here's the response:

The Langsters should still be under production, and we should still be seeing
more come in this summer. Check with your dealer for more details of
availability.
