In the spirit of LOTOJA, but in the style of UltraMarathon racing ...
There's a new, shorter distance ultramarathon bicycle race happening in Southern Utah! The inaugural Red Rock 200 takes place Saturday, May 16th.
Starting/finishing in St. George riders have from sun up to sun down to complete 200 beautiful and challenging miles. Solo, tandem, 2-person, 2-tandem, 4-person, 4-tandem divisions offered. Exclusive official finisher jersey for all racers who complete the course within the specified time limits for each category.
Post-race celebration with lots of prizes!

We forgot to add that you can bring your own support, or take advantage of the three neutral support checkpoints along the course that will be well stocked with Hammer Nutrition products!

Entry fees include: Goodie bag; t-shirt; three neutral feed zones along the course; drop bag service for crew-less racers; one post-race awards banquet ticket per racer plus one crew ticket per solo rider or team; one finisher medal for each racer who finishes before sunset; one finisher jersey for each racer who finishes within the time limit for the racer's division. Additional t-shirts and banquet tickets must be ordered at least one month before the race. Additional finisher jerseys, wind vests and matching shorts may be ordered after the race.

Congratulations to local racer, Mark Larsen of St. George, Utah who won the day in 11 hours 8 minutes.
We were a little late in the game getting the word about this event out for 2009. We expect the 2010 race to be a huge success!
Looks like a success. I'll bet you have a larger turn out next year.
