I've just begun gathering the pieces to start building a bamboo trailer. I got the free instructions from Carry Freedom... (http://www.carryfreedom.com/bamboo.html)
Just wondering if anyone else has built one of these and maybe had some tips for me? The instructions are very simple, which i like, but also leave maybe a little too much room for interpretation... the only thing i could really find was a video on youtube of some guy that couldn't turn right without falling over. I know a lot of people have built these successfully, i've seen the pictures. just would like to hear some more about it...

You should post this in the Utility Cycling forum. There's a sticky on do-it-yourself trailers. I haven't seen anyone attempting the Carry Freedom trailer, but they do discuss pertinent issues like hitches (most like the reason for the failure of the youtube guy.)

Anyhow, it sounds like an interesting project. Bamboo is a very strong, lightweight material and would make a very distinctive trailer.

I think there is a bamboo one in that thread gerv mentions.
There is also a thread in Framebuilding about bamboo bikes full of info.
