At the library I came across a book of rides in Eastern Washington. After looking at it I bought one from Amazon. It's Greater Spokane and Palouse Region Back Roads Cycling Guide by David Heflick. Alot of loop rides in the wheatland and scrublands but also a few up in the woods north of Spokane. Definitely worth a look.:thumb:

When I first moved to this area 6 years ago, that was the first book I purchased. They're still some of my favorite rides today.

Some long weekend I'm going to haul my bike over to where I can admire the sculpted waves of the Palouse hills and bliss out on just riding, without the constant howl of traffic that's so common everywere near where I live. Maybe hit some of those fine wineries, too...;)

I grew up in the Palouse and the rides are great with little traffic.
