What's the deal with the U.S. national anthem? Is there any other country where the person singing it has to but a person touch to it. I mean, how many arrangements have there been for this song? Thousands? I just find it very weird, it seems to be just part of the entertainment rather than an anthem for the country...

I agree. The singer uses it as a personal stage so they can show off there own personal talents. It's less about AMERICA and more about themselves....

The tune is based on an old English drinking song, and you have to be drunk to sing it:roflmao2: AFAIK there is no "normal" way to sing TSSB, I have a sister who is a professionally trained singer (mostly opera) and she swears that there is no way to sing TSSB properly.
