Ok a quickie post...I brought the new guy (date? beau? who knows...) to my Winter Group Ride. How to get rid of a guy in 5 hours? He last rode 4 months ago - and I do not think he is a road biker per se...but goes out for quick rides..maybe 30 miles. Anyhoo - we headed off to Contes in Conyers and rode with the group. We quickly split off for a C group ride...and ended up ridng 54.5 miles at an avg of 11.76Mph.
John had a few issues - and I learned perhpas not to take the date on a 55 mile ride, ya think? Maybe should start with a quick 30 miler. In any case - we did have fun - and he is going to try again nxt weekend - but I am definitley going to go about 30 miles..and if I have the energy I will loop back and practise spinning so we can both ride together.
What a ton of fun. I had so much fun - I even forgot to run home and post the ride. Ok - so dream come true..I am thinnner...I have a gorgeous bike (new Mavic race wheels..Oh yeah, I rode over my front wheel a week or so ago) and now have a guy! cyclist!
Go get em! Ride hard....
Have fun!
