Holy @*^(!!! This is fun!!!

I was going crazy and needed a quick fix so I decided to drop in a Specialized dealer to test ride a Langster. I think the bike is VERY fun. This was also my first exposure to drop bars. I am heading back Wednesday to ride it again - at that point they are putting on a 17 cog and raising the handle bars a little (they were closing when I stopped by.) The lower riding position to me is more odd than uncomfortable. Maybe I was expecting the bike to be longer but I will try it out then.

Am I going to give up on the 'dream'? Hardly, but at $400 for a complete bike it has me second guessing myself. Any Langsters want to comment on their bike? The seat was not as bad as people made it out to be - then again I was only on it for around 20 minutes. The wheels seem fine but for my weight I think I would atleast need 28c tires (think they had 23c on them) and perhaps built up ma3's.

I'm still in a gaze.... And its been 4 hours since I rode it.... What the ^*@( have I been doing riding a geared bike? Why isn't EVERY company making these???

Love mine! It has a Surly 18 tooth fixed cog, it needs a 16 or 17. The seat went after the first ride, of course I put a specialized BG saddle on it. When the mondos wear out I plan on running a 25 or 28 armadillo, not because of my weight (although I'm 220), but for flat protection. Get one while you can, at that price it can't be beat.

I have had mine for a few months now. I use it as my commuter (32 miles round trip) and my city bike (Down town denver). It is an awesome trainer that cannot be beat for the money. Its also great to take out when you are riding with slower riders and still need a challenge.

I still havent had the guts to take this thing out to the hills!

I have had mine 2 weeks and it is a blast. Where I live it is either up or down so I put a 42x16 on it and that is working well. I planned on going to 700x28s but the 23s are riding well so I'll leave them on until they wear out. Next are bullhorns and getting rid of the rear brake. (Yes it is FIXED, now).
