Or should I say, the agony of riding after a six month hiatus from the bike. I am dying, but I feel good about it. I ended my riding last October, because too much time at work seemed to be getting in the way, just an excuse really. I took my first ride today, after getting new spiffy celeste striped tires to go on the celeste Bianchi. I was doing 22 miles every day, or every other day, sometimes ever 3 day which was rare. I decided to knock out 12 miles today, and I paid the price. Oh the pain. My legs are like rubber bands. I started to ride the bike because I have truly laid on the couch for the last five weeks, out of work, and totally vegged. I have been staying up all night watching tv, and sleeping most of the day. I real sorry situation. So, starting back up with the bike this season, I am paying the price. I think I will only do about 5 miles tomorrow, and I will install the new Cateye Enduro 8 computer with my extra time. Its good to be back, I hope all of my old friends are still here, best - Ted

hey man, i have felt your pain. i got back into biking after a bad breakup because it was the only thing i could do that made me feel better. i was just a sad sack until i started riding everyday and really getting into it. i know this sounds cheesy, but the bike has completely changed everything. i feel better both physcially and emotionally. healthy all around. i hope you decide to stay with it. good luck.

What you want to do now is set yourself a ride, say at the end of the summer, and train for it. Without that goal to aim for, you may slip back.
