To keep a long story short I rode 10 miles after work tonight. Previously I had a 7300FX and now a Trek Navigator 400. The FX (a suspensionless version) is supposed to be designed for fitness; but it is the 400 with it's 8 internal gears that made my legs feel like they were stuck in 2 pails of concrete towards the end. The 7300FX barely made me sweat, the 400 made me sweat and made those muscles burn! And they felt good!

:D

I love the new 8 speed internal hub. While people say fixed gear bikes are for training - I'm finding that the nexus is going to be my trainer for the fixed gear bike.
