Granted this is about a race but since it included rodies as well I thought I would post here still keeping with the MTB side of things.
This looks like it was a blast to ride in. Any one here get a chance to race in it?

Yeah...sure looked like fun. Got great reviews. They plan on running a few of them to support the trail advocacy :)

And yeah there were roadies...but their natural ability to be fast was quashed by a sudden change in the course to be an actual 'off road' adenture. Would have loved to have seen some of their faces haha

I also like how they made it a bit difficult if you were not on a mtb. Even the riders with cross bikes had a hard time.

Hey Mael, I herd there is a new chair at Whistler. Supposed to add abunch of vert to the ride. Have you seen it?

Gabonzo. An extra 2200 vertical ft. We are now sitting around 4000vertical feet of lift access runs. For now I believe there is 3 trails up top (garbonzo) but they expect that to grow through the summer.

And by 2005/06 there will be more expansion. :)

First week the park is open full time I have 10 days off. Gonna be a busy bike time for me :D

Gabonzo does look like fun. It was featured in the entrance to NWD4...a lot of the huge gaps and jumps done by richie are actually 'over' the trail...not sure if they will be part of the actual courses haha.

Lets hope not, 'cause if they are Mael will have to bring his hiking boots and an extra pair of skivvies;)

I was hopping to get up there this year but the only time I could will be at the begining of our season and I do hate missing a game.
