Well, after a couple months since I bought the old bike, it is reborn. I got this bike for 50 bucks and another GT for 50 bucks. I took the XT derailleur from the Gt and put it on the Comp. Had a new LX front. I had the Shimano Octalink crank set in my spares box. Picked up a Ritchey seat post and WTB saddle for a nice low price, added some LX shifeters and a Rock Shox Tora 318 U Turn fork. Oh, and some Mavic wheels. I'm on a budget and I don't race or do any heavy stuff so I got the CrossRide entry model wheels. Now I just have to decide which strem to use. The one on the bike is an 85mm Atomic stem that looks more like a BMX stem but I like it. Only problem is I feel like I'm really sitting up-right on the bike. The other is the one off of the GT at 130mm. Haven't put it on yet but I'm afraid it will be too long. The pics are in the garage last night, too cold and dark to go outside so I'll get a better one tomorrow when I'm off work.
