Mountain Biking - DEJAVU! .."Clicking...Sometimes Clunking..."

AGAIN!? Gah...the probelm that was annyoing me for soooo long, has returned. Remember my bottem bracket problem? Well, i got a new one, and a week later..THE SAME THING. Do you think my bike shop would replace it for free? I mean, come on, bottem brackets shouldent do that within a week!! I hae the receipt and everything...man..how does this happen?!

Is it just me...or do i seem to have the more problems with my bike than anyone on here? :(

Just bring it back to the bike store. I don't see why they wouldn't repair/replace it for free.

I still don't think its your bottom bracket... loose crankarm/bad pedal maybe? In my experience bad BBs rarely click or clunk, they either grind, feel rough, creak or just break in a manner they are no longer usable. I would really be surprised if a sealed Shimano BB was click/clunking... just doesn't seem to happen with the sealed units everyones got now a days.

Yeah, what pedals are you running? My SPDs will squeak from time to time.


Also, check crank bolt tightness. THat's where i get most creaking from.

^ i changed my pedals....three times. Anyways, im bringing it to the LBS today, and we'll see.

does it get louder the harder ya press down on the left pedal? cus that's what's going on with mine.

uh.... just out of curiosity, when did it ever clunk?

it was just clicking... and when the BB was replaced, it stopped..and then came back.
