Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I've been riding BMXish platforms for a few years now. I'd like to finally blow some money on some decent clipless shoes. The problem is-- all the ones I've seen/tried have been really narrow. My feet are something like EEEE width.
I guess one solution would be the Vans "old skool" SPDs, but I haven't seen 'em for sale in ages. I'd like a more bike-specific shoe anyway....
What brands are particularly wide?

I have a pair of Lake CX201s. They're a *little bit* cheaper than the Sidis, and fit my EEE feet quite well.

In my experience SIDI's run a little narrow, Carnacs run wider. I wear Carnacs for just that reason.

AXO. I have found them to run on the larger side. They are also not very expensive but good quality. As for Sidi, I have found that even their wide shoes are a bit tight and would have to get a larger size then what I would like.
Also, get a mesh shoe rather then leather. they seem to fit better for wide feet. Again this is my personal experience.
I just ordered a set of Nike mtb shoes, they will be here to day and I can let you know how they fit.

The Nike YVR's just arrived today. Very nice fit. I usually wear a 45.5 but bought 46. Great fit, comfortable and they look like wingtips(stylin');) Will try 'em out tomorrow on a ride.

What size shoe do you wear. My experience is that AXO Cortez were the widest shoe available, having to do with a large mesh area on the toe box, because it can stretch much further in width than most shoe. I have a pair of it that were one size too large for myself and it is a 4E width, a size 46. It is a mountain style shoe and quite nice at that.
