hi all,
it's me again. would like to ask an expert advice if the dahon boardwalk s1 (model 2006) that a guy is selling for $120 a good buy ? i am still searching for my first folder. appreciate the help.

That is a total ripoff for that bike...
...um, do you have contact info for the seller... y'know, just so I can give them a piece of my mind about the outrageous price... :D
That's half of what the 08 1sp model sold for, and less than a quarter of what the 09 Mu Uno will sell for, so I'd say it's a decent price, depending on condition.

thanks mconlonx. i went with my instinct - not to get it. i just found out that the boardwalk has a different kind of brake at the rear. not the typical brake and also it only has 1 speed. if i can get one with at least 3 speeds - i will be a happy camper. what outrageous is someone is selling a dahon california for $220.

yep. i know. and it is a decent price considering that the owner almost never used it. actually it is in excellent condition. he used it just around the block. the reason i backed out is because of the speed and the rear brake. and size of the wheel is 20". i wanted to get the smallest possible. appreciate the input though....

if the bike were in jakarta, i would buy it.
i already have a sram t3 internal gear with coaster brake.
since the s1 is a single speed, there would certainly be no problem installing.
the s1 would have horzontal dropouts...
hmmmm. perfect....
