Hello. My father has been suplimenting his exercise program with Pyruvate. I believe Pyruvate can be lumped in to the general suppliment category of thermogenics (if there is such a thing). I have tried to find good information on this suppliment with no real luck.

Does anyone know about it? Does it work? Are there health risks? Many thanks for your assistance.

Yes, and most of those are sites giving biased information and trying to sell you suppliments. I dotn know where to go to get unbiased information.

Save your money. You didn't gain all the weight overnight you can't loose it overnight.

TriBob, thanks. That is what I told him. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Diest and exercise!

I just really want to know if there are any health risks.

The best way to get fit is exercise and eat normal food. Supplements may help if you have a problem, such as Isotonic drink supplements if you cannot cure a thirst, but unheard of products should be a no-no. You don't know whats in them, or how they may affect you. Even the "known" products cause problems, so stay off whatever it is.

Guys, I am not taking this and do not advocate taking any of these "suppliments" that offer a quick fix. I do not need convincing. I am with you 100%.

What I would like to find is some kind of independent tests that show what health risks are associated with different suppliements. I fear that if I do not show my dad some solid evidence he won't stop taking them.
