This past week, I purchased a never-used kid trailer to use as a cargo hauler. I have stripped the inside and will be adding either a diamond-sheet floor or a plywood floor (light-weight wood). At 24x31 it provides half-decent cargo space. The problem is attaching it to my trike. I rigged it up yesterday, but the attachment bar extends from the left side of the trailer and then bends to clamp onto the chain stay on the left of a standard bike. On a trike, of course, I don't have chain stays, but there is a u-shaped bar under the centre of the rear (not sure what it's for) and seems like a perfect place to attach the clamp. The problem is, since the attachment arm is bent, it prevents the trike from turning left as the left rear wheel is restricted by the bar only a few inches away. Any ideas how I can reconfigure the attachment arm (it does look like it can be removed from the left side of the trailer) and keep the trailer centered?

You have to make your own hitch and tow bar for a trike. Period.

That said, the tow bar must hook up in the center of the trike at the rear and be long enough to
allow turns of about 180 deg.

Now....get busy and make that hitch!:thumb:
