I got into biking a few years ago because a couple of work buddies were into it. Stared out with a hybrid Fuji bought specially to ride the Katy trail in Missouri and later picked up a used Fuji Roubaix road bike at a garage sale. I'm enjoying the road biking and am thinking of upgrading my road bike and will then of course want to sell my old Fuji Roubaix. Problem is, I don't know exactly what I have. I paid $450 for the bike and put another $150 or so in cassette replacement, new chain, bar tape, etc. Anyway, what year bike is this and what is it constructed of? Serial number is F61200xx. Bike has Shimano 105 components. Has quill style stem - silver in color. Frame has tag that says "True Temper OXRCX Oversized Heat Treated Chromoly Double-Butted Frame Tubes - Made in USA". Frame also has large "True Temper" stickers, along with the Fuji stickers. Front forks have a badge that says "Aluminum Kinesis 6061". Badge on head tube says "Fuji America". Sticker on bottom next to serial number said "Made in Taiwan". Saddle (since replaced) was a Ritchey brand with a nice embroidered Fuji patch logo on top. Wheels are Mavic, but I don't know if they were original. Bike frame is one color - a dark forest green.

It's a 1997 bike. The frame is cromoly steel. I have one of those. Nice bike.

Interesting bike. Eight speed bikes of that era with brifters are going for around $300 in central NC. I saw a Fuji very similiar to yours, maybe the same model, went for around $200 to $225 in NC a couple of months ago. You can try for more and if you're in a hot bike marked, maybe $400, but I think you're going to have a difficult time getting more. BTW, the money you invested in repairs to the bike are the cost of enjoying time on the bike and don't add value other than a marketing statement on your ad. If you paid $450 a couple of years ago, then I'd still stay with the $300, top $400 estimate two years later.
