just picked this up from a CL add, it fits me perfectly, rides great too! i am really glad i got my hands on this one, just wondering if anyone knew the approximate build date? a quick search revelas that these were made throughout the 80's, and maybe early 90's.

its in seemingly perfect shape, i doubt its been ridden more than a few hundred miles based on its condition...

Guessing I would say 91 by the logo's and their placement. Looks like it has a BioPace crank.

Best way for you to figure it out is to date the components.

The Compoinets will be a month or two older then the bike. If the componets are november 89 then you probably have a 1990 bike model.

hmm, interesting, i didnt notice a difference from a round crank, but i am too inexperienced to tell i would think...

It's oval instead of round. Lots of opinions on whether that's good or bad.

Nice bike. Trek's lugged steel frames are sought after. I'm not surprised you like the ride cause those bikes have that reputation. Hope you enjoy it.

Just look up the serial number on the vintage Trek site, and you will know the year manufactured. The vintage Trek site is perhaps the best overall site for brochures, models, serial numbers, etc.

looked her up, turns out to be a 92, i think it also says thats the last year trek made lugged steel road bikes, woot!
