Hey guys, I am new to cycling and I bought a used Diamondback Sorrento. I dont know what year it is but its a few years old. I LOVE the bike, I ride it through the trails around my school and all throughout campus and the local area around Orlando/Oviedo FL. I don't know much about bicycle repair but I would like to learn. I am having trouble with my chain slipping here and there in the lower gears. I want to get a new cassette and chain, but I don't know what kind to buy. Does anyone have any ideas? I would also like to order it online. Do you know any good sites?

Check out sheldonbrown.com and parktool.com for lots of online repair help. Don't know what your Sorrento is equipped with so hard to tell you what you might need. For example, what shifters and derailleurs does it have? How many gears on the rear cassette?
Try google shopping to assist in your bike part shopping, or spadout.com or qbike.com or bestbikebuys.com (which will take you to bestwebbuys.com/bikes), or major online retailers like pricepoint.com, jensonusa.com, cambriabike.com.

There's a good chance the Sorrento is a Free Wheel instead of Free Hub, but I'm not sure-
Here's how to tell-

Go to this link and maybe you can identify the year by ID'ing the various components & paint color-
