Wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to pedal North from Oak St. Beach to Ardmore/Hollywood (normal pace)?
Should be about 15-20 min. I'm actually taking the LFP on the way home today. I'll try to pay attention to the time.

just a guessing Id say 20. the LakeFrontPath Is like a freeway for bicycles. at night you may need a light though.
Yep, took me just about 20 minutes from Oak St. to Hollywood. It's a little over 6 miles, easy pedaling with a nice tailwind. This was my first time on the LFP in a long while, and while most of it was clear, there were two sketchy sections. The bend between Oak St. and Navy Pier was full of big chunks of ice and slush. Be prepared to walk and use your keys as an icepick on your cleats. Another section just south of Fullerton had a little ice which should all melt today.

So how does the LFP look? I'm thinking about riding it on Friday.

I rode the entire south side path and it was perfect. Saturday there was a large pond on the path near the skate park. With the rain today and further melting I suspect it's still there.

I like 55th Street: Promontory Point
I preferred parking off of Oakwood the few times I did drive down with the bike. Right next to path, not usually crowded this time of year, and easy to find. LSD to Oakwood, head towards the Lake..can't miss it.
